How to stay safe from fraud

So, when you we are ready to onboard you at Kixy, rest assured we will continue to work towards providing the latest security measures and solutions to keep your account secure.

How will we handle a victim of fraud

While we will be in constant touch with our customers, we know that your primary concern will always be to keep your money safe. In the event of fraud, contact our dedicated support team immediately. Kixy follows FCA's mandatory fraud reporting process, assisting in securing your account and collaborating with law enforcement to promptly address and rectify the issue. While you must report your fraud situation to the official authorities in the UK, we would additionally request you to also inform your local police authorities of the fraud activity. If you live in the UK, please also report the fraud to Action Fraud.

Lock your card

When we are ready to onboard you on our Kixy app, you will have control over your current account card via the Kixy App and be able to lock your card if it is stolen or lost in a few clicks.

You may also inform us via email at fraud@kixy.com and we can help kickstart the process to try to get your money back if you have lost any!

Report

It's important that you report the fraud incident to the official authorities in your country. If you live in the UK, you must report the fraud to Action Fraud.

Phishing Scams

There’s a load of phishing happening today, with scammers using texts and emails to trick individuals into giving up personal information. The information they ask for includes passwords, social security numbers, account numbers, and whatever other important information they can get their hands on. Never give away any such data to anyone.

Employment Scams

Employment scams are another common way scammers try to access people's financial accounts. The scammer promises guaranteed work in exchange for an up-front fee. In the process they may also ask for bank account information to transfer commission payments to you. This is all a front to get your account information, though.

Scam calls

Phone scammers will call you unsolicited, pretending to be from an organisation you trust, such as your bank, the police, pension pots, or even the NHS. The scam calls may be automated or be from an actual person. Stay vigilant.

We're educating you on the things we can't protect you from

At Kixy we want to protect you always. but can't protect you from certain situations like if you share specific financial or personal details or give someone access to your account. But where we can't help, we will seek to educate you to ensure that you are prepared for all such situations when scammers try to commit fraud and get access to your money.
